As this webinar will explain, procurement doesn’t just involve government investment – it also provides an opportunity to set standards for how governments will meet their social commitments and build services that respect the needs of workers and communities. As Alberta invests in infrastructure, we must work together to ensure that socially responsible principles are built into our procurement processes and investment decisions.

On September 27, Sandra Hamilton will join us to discuss best practices for investing in public infrastructure and making good procurement decisions. A PhD Researcher at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIOIR), Sandra has worked with cities around the world to foster socially responsible procurement.
